Removing Some of My Radish and Pea Plants

I won’t be removing all of the plants, but I will be basically eliminate some of them to make room for the strongest in the row.  Luckily I don’t have to remove as much because both plants do not need that much room to grow and thrive. (more…)

Onions, Squash, and Some Herbs

Now that most of the cold weather is done for the season and actual Spring temperatures have arrived it is time to start planting onions.  Although there might be some cool days here and there this will not affect onions that much.

It only took about an hour to plant my onions in my large totes that I use each season.  This year I would continue growing them in totes and some in the garden.  This happened to work quite well last season and I still have some onions left from 2015. (more…)

Onions Planted on April 2 This Season

The first of April is usually when I begin planning on putting onions into the garden.  In fact I love placing them in totes which is how I grow onions from year to year with good success.

With cooler but warm enough weather for onions to survive right now was a perfect time to get them into totes.  I even planted some in the ground as well since I had plenty of onion bulbs left.
