More Pole Beans from Second Harvest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My first bean harvest which was about a week ago didn&#8217;t yield that many beans or as many as I thought I would get.\u00a0 The second time I ended up getting many more including two full bowls of pole beans.<\/p>\n<p>I have harvested more in other years, but I think that this is a good amount and is enough to start canning and storing them for the Winter.\u00a0 The plants still are producing and I am sure that I will be harvesting more beans in the near future.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I picked only 18 pounds today which is quite good for a second harvest.\u00a0 I hope that this won&#8217;t be the biggest harvest of the year.\u00a0 I do have plenty of more beans, but they were not ready yet and will most likely pick them on the next harvest day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Picture-1-223.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1535\" src=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Picture-1-223-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Bean Harvest\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Right after picking my beans I then moved on to my cucumbers which needed to be picked soon as well.\u00a0 These are growing quite well and have picked several dozen over the past couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a harvest from a couple days ago.<\/p>\n<p><a sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is the harvest I completed today.<\/p>\n<p><a sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finally some of my tomatoes are turning red and ripening.\u00a0 This one isn&#8217;t a cherry tomato and is actually one of my steakhouse tomatoes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Picture-1-209.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My corn is actually starting to produce silks which is the start of an ear of corn which what I am waiting for.\u00a0 I would say another couple of weeks and I should be picking my corn.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Picture-1-215.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Along with silks I am getting some tassels which are used to pollinate the silks which turn to ears of corn.<\/p>\n<p><a sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A couple of more melons are coming through.\u00a0 One of them is a honeydew and the other one is a cantaloupe.<\/p>\n<p><a
