Last Large Harvest of Pole Beans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It looks like most of my garden plants are winding down and no longer producing any more flowers or fruits.\u00a0 My tomatoes are probably the last plants that are still growing fruit and I think I have just a few more harvests from them.<\/p>\n<p>My bean plants are pretty much done for the season and today I just picked the last large harvest of pole beans.\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t as big as past years, but it is definitely a good amount to store over the winter.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the week I had harvested quite a few eggplants including the largest one of the entire year.\u00a0 Most of them were small to medium size except for one which was bigger than I thought it was until I picked it this week.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_2097.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1640\" 12 pounds of beans which is probably one of the last good harvests that I will get out of them this season.\u00a0 I thought I would have had more, but I still got enough to enjoy through the fall and winter months.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_2159.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1642\" src=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_2159-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Bean Harvest\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" tomatoes which include all three of them.\u00a0 Most of my tomatoes have probably stopped producing, but they still have tomatoes on the plant which I will be harvesting the next couple of weeks.\u00a0 Not many new flowers are on the plants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_2163.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" are good for is making some home made tomato sauce.\u00a0 That is the only reason that I grow them and with the amount of plants I had they have been producing enough fruit to make plenty of sauce for the winter.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_2177.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium harvested today were a pair of peppers.\u00a0 One of them had started turning red and that is when I decided to pick it right then and there.<\/p>\n<p><a
