Holes for Potatoes and Cleaning up Debris"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since receiving my potatoes yesterday I needed to clean up the garden and get some holes dug before tomorrow.\u00a0 Luckily it only rained in the morning so I was able to clean up the garden, fix the net that surrounds the garden, and dig some holes for my potatoes.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t have time to make holes for my strawberry plants, but I did place them in a container of water to get them started.\u00a0 From here I can place them in the garden or I could put them in large peat pots which would make it easier to transplant into the garden.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_4626.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1783 size-medium\" title=\"Strawberry Plants Soaking in Water\" src=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_4626-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_4626-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_4626-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_4626-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_4626-700x467.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It would also be wise to put them in peat pots that way they can strengthen their roots and I could put them in the garden when the outside temperature is a little bit warmer.<\/p>\n<p>Potatoes I am not worried about putting into the garden at this time.\u00a0 Potatoes will be in the ground and the topsoil should protect them from any potential cold snaps or even a frost.\u00a0 The soil is moist so I shouldn&#8217;t have to water too much at the moment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_4670.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1784 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Some good news about my plants that I have planted indoors is they are beginning to sprout.\u00a0 It looks like those sunny days have been paying off.\u00a0 I am getting some wildflowers and alyssum sprouting for now.\u00a0 There is no dill, but I did plant them kind of recently.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_4734.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1785 size-medium\" title=\"Wildflowers 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Depending on what I do with my strawberry plants I may dig some holes for them tomorrow or make sure that I have enough and large enough peat pots for them to grow in for now.\u00a0 I may wait a couple of days before putting them in the ground as well especially if the temperatures are real low.\u00a0 Only time will tell
