I got some tilling done yesterday which is mainly for the spring plants that I will be placing outside.\u00a0 Lettuce is one of those plants and the rest are going to be from seed.\u00a0 I will plant seeds of peas, radish, celery, and potatoes.<\/p>\n

I also tilled an area where I will be placing all of my strawberry plants this season.\u00a0 Last year I used this particular spot for growing onions, but growing them in totes is much better so I am going to use this spot for all my strawberries.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I had a spot for growing strawberries, but I decided to put them in a new area.\u00a0 This spot should actually get a little bit more sun than where they were before.\u00a0 I am hoping that they will do much better here and produce a better yield.<\/p>\n

I have been placing some of my plants outside due to the warmer whether that has been coming around.\u00a0 I hope that soon I can just keep my lettuce outside and then plant them in the ground as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

My pickle cucumber plants have sprouted rather quickly being planted in simple peat pots.\u00a0 It only took them about a week for them to sprout to decent sized plants.<\/p>\n

I am also seeing some eggplants beginning to pop out of the soil.\u00a0 I am still waiting on my melons and peppers that were planted at the same time in similar pots.<\/p>\n

I could begin planting some of my spring plants right now in the ground.\u00a0 Even though it is still quite cold the soil should be able to protect them until they are ready to sprout.\u00a0 My spinach seeds have a tough shell which will help it to survive the harsh temperatures for a short time.<\/p>\n

With April around the corner I don’t think it will be that long until consistent warm weather arrives.\u00a0 Getting them in the ground as soon as possible will be the best bet for me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
