There are only a few of them changing colors, but soon the rest will follow. With plenty of sunshine they will turn much faster and will be harvested earlier.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the moment they are still quite light in color, but within a week or so I should be picking the first Roma and steakhouse tomatoes of the season. Right now it looks like just one watermelon from a vine and there are a few on another plant, but I am not sure which ones have been pollinated yet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/IMG_7168.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2031 size-medium\" title=\"Watermelon\" src=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/IMG_7168-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/IMG_7168-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/IMG_7168-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/IMG_7168-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/IMG_7168-700x467.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have one cantaloupe plant that is actually growing three fruits on the vine. Once I knew it had one I should have removed the others, but they were too far along and that might have been unwise to do for the plants health. This is the first sign of life from my eggplant plants.
