Tomatoes are producing flowers, beans are climbing the ropes, lettuce is flourishing, and broccoli is next on the list. It is almost the peak of garden season and in about a month I should be harvesting the bulk of the fruits of my labor.

Let’s start off with what has been harvested so far. I started off with my radishes and peas as the first to be picked for the spring season. I then worked my way to my strawberries which did not last long, but I plan to add many more plants for next season in order to have a little bit longer and larger harvest.

This past week I picked the first broccoli of the season. So far it is just one head out of several broccoli plants that I have grown this year. There is another head waiting to be cut and I will probably pick that one in a day or so before it starts to flower and stops producing for the season.

Lettuce is probably going to be the next to be harvested and right after will most likely be blueberries.
