Production in the summer crops have mostly stopped, but there are some vegetables and fruits that need to be picked before the first frost. Peppers, eggplants, and some tomatoes are what is left from this summer season. Carrots are also another crop that needs to be harvested which usually happens later in the fall.

With the summer over it and the warmer weather plants such as watermelons, cantaloupes, honeydew, pumpkins, and others it was time to remove what was left on these plants or vines. The last one that I needed to harvest was my watermelon. I only received one this season and it was a decent size and will probably last a couple of weeks once it is sliced open. For now I have left it in the refrigerator and will soon start cutting it and enjoying the juicy sweet flavor hopefully.

Peppers are another vegetable that I need to finish picking.
