I have finally placed all my plants into the ground with an exception of a couple which will be placed very soon before the end of June. The only successful harvest at the moment has been my strawberries. I have been picking some late broccoli as well, but these are just a few heads and florets. I have some good lettuce that I will start picking soon I just wanted to be sure that the leaves will not turn out bitter. I made certain to do a few consecutive watering with lime to sweeten the soil.<\/p>\n

The hot weather has arrived and it looks like my onions will soon start falling over and will be time to start digging them up. I didn\u2019t grow as many onions as I usually do, but I did happen to plant a good amount and hopefully will last until the end of the year and possibly more. This all depends on how many I pick and the size of the onions.<\/p>\n
My tomatoes are finally in the ground after a cool and windy month of May I didn\u2019t know if I was going to get them in before the first week of June. I got them in and staked them a couple of weeks ago and probably will have to do it again soon. They are producing plenty of flowers and I already have some Roma tomatoes coming in. They haven\u2019t started to turn color yet, but I expect them to start within the next couple of weeks. I am looking for a good tomato harvest this season.<\/p>\n
My pole beans are starting to produce vines and I will be attaching them to my trellis soon. Unfortunately not many seeds sprouted and I am left with a lot of room within the two rows that were planted. I have less than ten plants when I planted enough to get over thirty plants. I am not sure what happened, but I will have to do with the plants that did sprout and are thriving. Hopefully these plants can make up for the ones that did not grow.<\/p>\n
Everything else looks good including corn, potatoes, squash, peppers, and even my strawberries. Peas are done for the season as well as radishes. They started going to seed real quick and I had to pick them up before they turned the radish into a pea sized vegetable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
