and Some Tomato Flowers Pollinated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This morning there was a quick rain storm that came through and gave my plants just a good soaking that they definitely needed.\u00a0 If there was no rain I would have watered them myself regardless.\u00a0 I happened to check up on the zucchini that I thought might have been pollinated and wanted to see its progress.<\/p>\n<p>Good news!\u00a0 The zucchini is getting larger which means that it was pollinated when the flower first opened a couple of days ago.\u00a0 Now I can look forward to watching this vegetable grow until it reaches the appropriate size that I want.\u00a0 Feeding is what will keep these plants growing for as long as possible producing delicious food.<!--more-->I thought it might be a good idea to get some pictures of this zucchini so that you can watch it grow within the next few days.\u00a0 Once they are pollinated they will increase in size everyday as long as there is good weather which doesn&#8217;t seem to be a problem at the moment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-1-075.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-355\" src=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-1-075-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Zucchini Growing\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-1-075-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-1-075.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have many more that are on the way as well, but this is <a title=\"Third Strawberry Harvest With Zucchini and Tomatoes Flowering\" href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/third-strawberry-harvest-zucchini-tomatoes-flowering\/\">the one from yesterday<\/a> which I will use to track its progress.\u00a0 Here are some more that are producing the females that need to get pollinated in the very near future.<\/p>\n<p>In this plant there are many females that can potentially be picked in a couple of weeks if the bees do there thing.\u00a0 There are about four or five small females in just this single plant!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-1-051.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-356\" src=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-1-051-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Many zucchini leaves are compared to the size of my hand.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-1-065.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-1-065.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Zucchinis are not the only ones that are starting to produce fruit my tomatoes are also beginning to produce fruit.\u00a0 At the moment it is mainly the cherry ones that are showing much progress.\u00a0 All the others were planted later, but are producing flowers which is a great sign.\u00a0 Soon they will have fruit as well and I will be harvesting tomatoes from all my plants.<\/p>\n<p>In this photo you can see about four tomato flowers that were successfully self pollinated and are now producing fruit.\u00a0 This is how small all tomatoes start and later they take the shape of what type they are.\u00a0 That won&#8217;t happen for another few days or so.\u00a0 Since these are cherry tomatoes they will be the first to harvest because they don&#8217;t take as long to grow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-1-008.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-358\" 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The ones below might possibly be roma tomatoes because you can see that they are not perfectly round like the cherry tomatoes were.\u00a0 I probably should have labeled them, but I tend to just plant all tomatoes together without knowing what type they are.\u00a0 I will have to keep an eye on these to see if they get larger
