of Zucchini and Tomatoes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I wanted to keep you informed on the status of everything that I am growing in the garden which includes all vegetables, fruits, and flowers that I have added into the ground.\u00a0 So far the only two plants that are producing include the zucchini and tomatoes.\u00a0 They just happen to be the first of the season and soon I will have beans, cucumbers, cantaloupes, and many more with flowers.<\/p>\n<p>The blueberries are on their way to harvest time with just some more sun they will soon be ready to be picked.\u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t look like I have as much as I did last year, but I still think I will have a descent harvest for 2014.\u00a0 While the blueberries are getting started the strawberries are finally winding down for now.\u00a0 With a little care they will come back during the summer and at the end of the season harvest.<!--more-->So far the first zucchini that I had mentioned that was properly pollinated is doing quite well and you can see that each day it is getting bigger and bigger.\u00a0 It is quite remarkable that these vegetables are able to grow quickly and early.<\/p>\n<p>Two days ago.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-2-0051.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-365\" 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can definitely tell that it is getting much bigger.\u00a0 Although the top might look larger it is only because it was a much closer image.\u00a0 The bottom one was taken a little bit further back in order to make sure that the whole vegetable fit within the picture for you to see.\u00a0 I give it another week before I pick it when it is full size.<\/p>\n<p>Tomatoes are also getting bigger as time passes on.\u00a0 They might not be growing as fast as zucchini, but they are still nonetheless slightly increasing in size.\u00a0 It will only be a couple of days before they reach their full size and then they will start to ripen over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-2-068.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-367\" src=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-2-068-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Cherry Tomatoes 6-23-2014\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-2-068-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Picture-2-068.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you want you can easily <a title=\"Zucchini and Some Tomato Flowers Pollinated\" href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/zucchini-tomato-flowers-pollinated\/\">compare these tomatoes<\/a> to the ones that were taken only a couple of days ago.\u00a0 They are only slightly bigger mainly because these are cherry tomatoes and they don&#8217;t grow as fast to begin with.\u00a0 They will achieve their full size soon and within a couple of weeks begin to ripen.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day working in the garden.\u00a0 I still have some weeding to do especially around my carrot plants.\u00a0 Thinning out corn, placing stakes for tomatoes, planting the rest of the flowers, feeding my tomatoes, and planting the last of this fruit are just some of the things that I will be doing tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>I will probably take a before and after picture so that you can see the difference that a little bit of work looks like.\u00a0 I usually take one day to do as much as possible so that all I have to do is water my plants each day
