Tomatoes and Cucumbers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest fruits and vegetables that I harvested this week would include cucumbers and cherry tomatoes.\u00a0 It took quite a while before starting to see tomatoes turn red this year.\u00a0 I have many other tomatoes that have not began to turn, but will soon do so over the next couple of weeks.\u00a0 They will probably all start ripening at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Cucumbers were also picked this week, but only one of them was ready enough to be harvested.\u00a0 The others will come in time now that I am starting to see more and more of these vegetables on the vine.\u00a0 I would say about mid August will be the peak of the season for cucumbers and probably everything else as well.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here are a couple of snapshots that I took on my cherry tomatoes and cucumbers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Picture-1-075.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Picture-1-010.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-474\" src=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Picture-1-010-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"First Cucumber Picked\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The cucumber is small, but it will probably taste good when I eat it very soon.\u00a0 It is also the first of the season so you can&#8217;t just the rest like the first one.<\/p>\n<p>I also picked about another three pounds of blueberries today making this a somewhat good season for them.\u00a0 I have had better than this year, but I have also had worse so this is something that I should keep in mind.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Picture-1-083.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-475\" src=\"http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Picture-1-083-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"More http:\/\/ericsorganicgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Picture-1-083.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also have an update on my pumpkins that I thought I should share with you since they get bigger every single day.\u00a0 It is more noticeable when you have good weather or when the sun is shining on the plants.<\/p>\n<p>Pumpkin
