It is now the busiest time of the year in terms of gardening and it is time to start transplanting all the plants I have been growing during the Spring.\u00a0 This also means start planting seeds that were not grown indoors as well.<\/p>\n

For now I have started with my cooler plants in order to get them into the soil as quickly as possible since the weather is starting to heat up which is not good for lettuce.\u00a0 My spinach plants are starting to bolt which means I will be running out of leaves to harvest.<\/p>\n

I would have liked to place my lettuce into the ground sooner, but unfortunately I ended up putting them in the ground later than usual.\u00a0 Although they still have enough time to produce some large and delicious leaves for consumption.<\/p>\n

These are the black seeded Simpson lettuce plants.<\/p>\n

I also grew some new Ruby Glow Hybrid<\/a> lettuce as well this season.\u00a0 I transplanted them as well this afternoon.<\/p>\n

So far I have only planted eight tomato plants and all of my lettuce.\u00a0 I think the lettuce plants were the toughest to transplant this season and that is why I wanted to get them out of the way and do them first.<\/p>\n

Everything else including fruits, vegetables, and even flowers should be done by tomorrow with any luck.\u00a0 I will probably be outside most of the day in order to get them done by the end of the day.<\/p>\n

I might get seeds planted as well, but I don’t think that will be done by tomorrow.\u00a0 Hopefully I can get them done by Tuesday at the latest.\u00a0 I will definitely be writing more posts this week about my garden progress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
