More Cucumbers and Flowers Planted

I had planted cucumbers about a couple of weeks ago into small black pots that would be perfect for them.  Unfortunately I only was able to plant three pots of them.  Today I decided to use the spare fluorescent light used for the spinach and plant some more cucumbers.

The spinach plants have been hardening outside for the past few weeks and they will not need any more fluorescent light and can now rely on the sun.  This extra one was used to plant cucumbers and more flowers.

Here you can see that I placed three cucumber seeds into each plastic cup that I used.  If these sprout this will make eight plants that will need to be transplanted later.

The more flowers that I have in the garden the better and that is why I continue to grow as much as I can inside.  I may plant some directly in the soil, but that is much later on.

For now I planted some more herbs such as dill and cilantro.  Dill is very easy to grow and is great for many different meals that I make during the summer months.  Cilantro is also another herb you can use on meals and salads.
