I just picked the first honeydew of the season and it was a pretty good size.\u00a0 I had a few plants that were planted in the beginning of the season, but they ended up dying and this one was the last of the honeydew plants that survived.<\/p>\n

It was about five pounds and was much more bigger than my cantaloupes that are still growing.\u00a0 I plan on picking more melons including watermelon and cantaloupe.<\/p>\n

This is also the first year that I decided on growing a honeydew melon and this being the first I think I got a pretty good size melon.<\/p>\n

\"First<\/a><\/p>\n

Although this is the second melon I picked this year I still have plenty of them that need to be harvested.\u00a0 Once they start disconnecting from the stem I can then pick them.\u00a0 My watermelons will probably take a little bit longer before I start harvesting them, but I am sure that the time will come much faster than I think.<\/p>\n

On a short note I did harvest some more peppers including a couple that were starting to turn red.\u00a0 I don’t like them to stay on the plant longer than they have to especially when they get a red\/purple hew.<\/p>\n

As for now these are the fruits and vegetables that I have picked and I am looking forward to picking some more tomatoes, melons, eggplants, and even more zucchinis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
