Many Things Happening in The Garden

Last Vegetable Seeds for Indoor Planting

Now that I have most of the plants that I need planted indoors it is time to start the two last ones of the season.  I used peat pots to plant up to six seeds of zucchini and pumpkins.  My squash plants are always the last to be planted indoors. (more…)

Radishes and Peas Now Sprouting

A quick update on some of the seeds I had planted in the garden a couple of weeks ago.  Both my peas and radishes are now showing signs of life with some sprouting within the rows.  Let’s take a look at what they look like when they first pop up through the soil. (more…)

Spinach, Pea, Radish, and Celery Seeds Into the Ground

This week is supposed to be cool, but with high enough temperatures that I can start planting most of my cool weather seeds.  I still have to plant the last of my seed potatoes and transplant my lettuce into the garden, but getting these four seeds into the garden is a big chunk of the cool weather season.
