Last Vegetable Seeds for Indoor Planting
Last updated onNow that I have most of the plants that I need planted indoors it is time to start the two last ones of the season. I used peat pots to plant up to six seeds of zucchini and pumpkins. My squash plants are always the last to be planted indoors.
These seeds will be grown underneath florescent lights all the way up until the weather begins to warm consistently. Since May is around the corner the weather should be getting relatively warmer.
I also decided on planting some regular cucumber seeds as well. I have already planted some pickle cucumbers, but I also like to have some regular straight eight ones as well. That is why I took four peat pots and planted some of these seeds.
The days are still cool which is good for my spring crop that I have yet to harvest. The first plants to be harvested will be my lettuce. They are looking good and a couple of them are just about ready for harvesting.
Tomorrow I will have to start thinning out my plants which include peas and radishes. Luckily they do not need much room which means that I will not have to remove as many.
I still have some lettuce plants that need to be transplanted as well and that will also be something I will have to do tomorrow. I have a couple of iceberg plants that need to be moved into the garden right away.
