It looks like this might be a long post since I have not written one in quite awhile and I want to keep you up to speed with my garden progress. I have not planted everything into the garden just yet, but I only have a few more seeds and transplants left. I plan on finishing this week, weather permitting of course. I would say about now is pretty much the end of the season and all that I need to do is some cleanup for next year. This week I picked the only two watermelons that I planted and some last cherry tomatoes that are still growing. I also had a few peppers that were perfect for picking. (more…)
I just spent about a week inside due to the weather that gave us plenty of wind and rain. I was able to pick what needed to be harvested before the storm, but I had many things that were ready during the end of this week. Today I took the time to pick everything that was ready for harvesting. This will include pumpkins, beans, an eggplant, peppers, and some tomatoes. (more…)
So far the real cool weather has not arrived and that means that I should still see production from some of the plants that are still left. For instance my beans are producing another set of beans and I should have a larger harvest than what was displayed today. (more…)
I still have Roma tomatoes to pick, but after today I am certain that there is not that many harvests these plants have left. I would say that the best fruit from these plants are done and with the largest harvest to date I would say this is the peak or end of my tomato season. (more…)
So far I have picked plenty of cherry tomatoes, beans, and even corn over the past month. My corn is pretty much done for the season except for a couple of stragglers that will be harvested in the next couple of days or so. (more…)
This weekend was a good time to get some more fruits and vegetables from the garden. This Friday it rained pretty well and many of my plants needed it. After a rain is a good time to start picking as much as possible. Luckily I had plenty of vegetables that needed to be harvested and that is what I did between yesterday and today. (more…)
I have just started harvesting a few Romas here and there, but no significantly large harvest just yet. I think within the next couple of weeks I should begin picking many of them at one time and get started on making some delicious sauces out of them. (more…)

It wasn’t going to be long to start picking peppers since the last post I wrote. I could have harvested them earlier, but there was no rush to pick any of them prematurely. Today felt like a good day to do some harvesting of a few of my vegetables. (more…)
