Gathering More Cherry Tomatoes and Cucumbers
Last updated onJust another day of harvesting both cucumbers and ripe and red cherry tomatoes. I have plenty of cherry tomatoes on my plants and I think I will have many more harvests to accomplish in the next few weeks or at least this month.
My cucumbers have been growing quite well and I have picked at least a couple dozen in the past few weeks. As long as the vines keep growing I should be seeing more cucumbers.
Today I didn’t get as many cherry tomatoes and I got a total of 29. Since they are a good size I am not worried about the amount I get. I always focus on quality not quantity in my garden.
Five more cucumbers were picked this afternoon and they were a real good size. I have one that grew in a weird shape, but as long as they taste good I don’t care about the shape.
I also am getting some corn growing right now as well. The stalks have been growing for awhile, but now I am seeing the ears of corn that will be picked sometime this month.
Since I planted all my corn seeds at once I should be harvesting most of my corn in the same week. This means I will have a big harvest of corn and many to eat in a short amount of time. I am still looking forward to eating them since this comes once per year.
I mentioned recently that I have some eggplants growing and I wanted to show you some of the progress they have been making.
I am also getting more on this plant which is good because I will be able to harvest more than one after I pick this first one hopefully very soon.
I am also hoping to pick my honeydew very soon. It looks like a good size and I am looking forward to eating this melon.
I also am getting my first cantaloupe of the season as well. Right now it is quite small, but hopefully it will get much bigger within the coming weeks. So far the melon has been getting bigger each day.
My pepper plants are finally starting to produce flowers and many peppers. I was wondering when I would start to see some good sized peppers on these plants.
This is just one pepper plant, but I am sure that my other plants are also producing similar peppers as well.
